Types of Visas

If you want to study, work or live in the United States, you’ll probably need a visa. The type of visa will depend on what you plan to do while you’re here.

Student Visa

International students usually come to the United States with either an F-1 or J-1 visa. F-1 is the most common visa for undergraduate students at Saint Louis University, while the J-1 exchange visitor visa is for students who will be attending temporarily (one or two semesters).
